Featuring the art of Maureen Fleming and Susanna Strom, two artists dedicated to the goal of traditional fiber arts in the truest "sheep to shawl" sense. Raising a small flock of shetland sheep ensures that each piece starts from the highest-quality wool. Hand-spinning ensures that each yarn is unique, as does hand-dying. Finally, the yarns are hand-knit into traditional lacework patterns.

For pieces where our own wool isn't suitable (such as exotic fibers), we hand-spin select wool roving from local farms. For those pieces where the subtle variations of handspun aren't suitable, we use only the highest-quality commercial yarns that are 100% wool with no synthetics.

We focus mainly on lacework shawls, though patterns are easily adaptable to table runners, curtains, or just about anything. Our work is valued as true heirloom quality, and is suitable for wedding gifts and other special occasions. For a special gift for a new mother, we use a specially-treated washable wool yarn to craft beautiful baby blankets that can be machine-washed.
